A total of 2,742 bankruptcy proceedings were concluded by courts in 2022, according to Statistics Finland.
Out of the cases, 506 ended with certification of the disbursement list while rest were discontinued at different stages of the bankruptcy proceedings.
In 2022, the commonest reason for discontinuing bankruptcy proceedings was the insufficient means of the bankruptcy estate, which was the reason in 1,382 cases.
In 2022, the second commonest reason for discontinuing bankruptcy proceedings was withdrawal of the application, which was the reason in 432 cases.
Altogether 25 decisions on transferring to public receivership were made by district courts in 2022.
