About half (47%) of the Finnish people think that the four-party alliance right-wing government led by Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) will collapse before completion of its four-year term, according to a survey commissioned by the Foundation for Municipal Development (Kaks).
About 48% of Finns also believe that the ability of the present government to manage the country´s affairs is poor, said the results of the survey published on Saturday.
The respondents of the survey showed less confidence in the present government compared to the two previous governments led by the Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) and Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party of Finland).
About 31% of the respondents, however, did not think that the government would fall before its tenure.
Majority (60%) of the supporters of the ruling parties expressed their confidence over the government and said that the government would complete it full-term while majority (68%) of the supporters of the opposition parties viewed that the government would fall down suddenly before 2027.
About 30% of the respondents think that the government would be collapsed immediately while 45% saw that the government would discharge its duty properly.
Support for the government is highest among supporters of Kokoomus with 70% followed by the supporters of radical rightist Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) 60%.
Majority (74%) supporters of opposition Vasemmistoliitto (Left Alliance) disapproved the government followed by main opposition SDP (69%) and another opposition Vihreä Liitto (Green League) with 64%.
The survey conducted through interviewing 1013 people aged between 18 and 79 from September 16 to September 20 and the margin error is three percentage points in both directions.
The four-party alliance government took office on June 20.
