Bandit equipped with firearm took away cash from a grocery store at Kontula area in Helsinki on Saturday afternoon, police said in a press release.
The alleged masked robber stormed into a grocery shop chain Alepa at Kontulankaari area at about 4:45 pm and looted cash money from the storekeeper at gunpoint.
The bandit left the scene immediately after the robbery.
Responding to an alarm, police rushed to the spot and conducted extensive search at the locality but failed to arrest the robber till late Saturday night.
The police are requesting information from witnesses about the movement of the suspected robber.
Police said that the suspect was wearing a black balaclava, a black sleeveless shirt and black pant.
