Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a validation system, which is used to stop the so-called e-mail spoofing where an e-mail message can be sent from one email, but to look as being sent from another, ordinarily with the objective to scam the recipient someway. If SPF protection is activated for a domain, a unique record is made for it in the Domain Name System and all DNS servers globally receive it. The record includes all of the email servers that are permitted to send legitimate messages from an email address part of the domain. When a message is sent, the very first DNS server it encounters checks the SPF record and when its sending server is permitted, the message is sent to the targeted destination. If, however, the sending server is not included in the SPF record for the specified domain, the email message won't be sent and it will be discarded. When you use this solution, it'll stop third parties from sending spam emails which appear to have been sent by you.

SPF Protection in Cloud Hosting

SPF protection can be activated for every domain name hosted in a cloud hosting account on our cloud platform with no more than a couple of clicks. The function can be found in the Emails section of our revolutionary Hepsia Control Panel and all you need to enable it is to pick one of your domains from the drop-down list and to type in the hostnames as well as the IPv4 or IPv6 addresses of the e-mail servers that will be permitted to send messages from your emails. As an additional option you can also restrict the e-mails to be sent from your domain only if it has our MX records, i.e. if our servers manage the emails for it, not some third-party provider. This option will provide you with the best level of safety, but it is not applicable when only your website is on our servers while your email addresses for the domain are handled somewhere else. In either case, our SPF protection service will keep your emails protected from being used for spam or scam purposes.

SPF Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The SPF protection attribute is available with all of the Linux semi-dedicated hosting, so when you host your domain names in an account on our cloud hosting platform, you are able to use this service without difficulty for any of your domain names. The Hepsia Control Panel, which comes as standard with the semi-dedicated accounts, has a very easy to work with interface, which means that you don't have to be proficient in the use of computers in order to secure your e-mail addresses. You will only need to type the hostname and the IP of each mail server that you would like to be certified to send e-mails from your addresses and shortly after that the updated record will be active for the domain that you have selected. As an additional option, we'll also allow you to restrict your outgoing email messages and secure your mailboxes even further by allowing emails to be sent only when the domain name involved features our MX records i.e. the emails for the domain name need to be managed here and not by another company. Thus you will have even better control and there won't be a chance for any person to fake your e-mails for harmful objectives.
