The nuclear power plant Olkiluoto 2 (OL2) resumed electricity generation on Monday after an outage of 17 days, operator of the plant Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) said in a press release.
The production at the OL2 was interrupted on August 18 due to a leak detected in the water-cooled generator's cooling system.
The faulty rotor has now been replaced, and the plant resumed the electricity production.
The power ramp-up, however, will take about 50 hours.
