A total of 14 persons were killed and 204 other injured in 160 road accidents in Finland in March, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of deceased was three higher and the number of injured people 38 higher than in March 2022.
Of the persons who were killed, seven travelled by passenger car and two by van. Two cyclists and three other road users were killed.
No pedestrians, however, died in March.
Among those who died, 11 were men and three were women.
Meanwhile, a total of 29 persons were killed and 634 other injured in 493 road accidents in the country from January to March.
The number of persons killed was three lower and the number of injured persons 38 lower than in the corresponding period of 2022.
Of the persons who were killed, 16 travelled by passenger car and two by van. Pedestrians killed numbered five and cyclists three. In addition, three other road users were killed.
