Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will travel to Tallinn on Wednesday at the invitation of his Estonian counterpart Kaja Kallas, said a government press release.
During the visit, the Premier will also meet the President of Estonia Alar Karis.
The Prime Ministers of the neighbouring countries will discuss the bilateral relations, security of the Baltic Sea region, topical EU affairs and international questions.
Traditionally, Finnish prime ministers visit Tallinn and Stockholm soon after the Government has been appointed.
For scheduling reasons, the visit to Stockholm will take place in the autumn.
However, Orpo and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson already met at the Nordic prime ministers’ meeting in Iceland and European Council meeting in Brussels last month.
