Finland will deliver more defence materiel to Ukraine, said the Ministry of Defence in a press release, adding that the President on Wednesday approved the government proposal in this regard.

This will be the 19th package of defence materiel to Ukraine. Replacing the defence materiel capabilities contained in this package will cost Finland an estimated EUR 95 million.

“The outcome of the war in Ukraine will determine the security order of Europe and Finland far into the future. This is why we will continue our determined support for Ukraine together with our allies. The total value of the defence materiel packages delivered by Finland to Ukraine is now EUR 1.4 billion,” said Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.

For operational reasons, and to ensure that the assistance will reach its destination safely, further details on the content of the package, the way it is to be delivered or the schedule will not be given.

Both Ukraine's needs and the resources of the Defence Forces have been taken into account when deciding on additional assistance.
