Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala is not afraid that the national team's goals at their home Euro 2024 could be in danger following poor performances so far this year, reported dpa.
"We're not afraid, that wouldn't help us. We must remain united and positive. Hopefully, we will be in shape when the Euros come," he told an interview to the Kicker magazine.
Under coach Hansi Flick, Germany are winless in four games, their last victory against Peru in March. Since then, they were defeated by Belgium, Poland and Colombia, and held to a draw by Ukraine.
"We, the players, we trust Hansi and have a good relationship with him. The criticism is normal and deserved in such bad moments, we must start playing better and winning games," the 20-year-old Bayern Munich player said.
"Such phases are important, one can learn a lot from them, also as a human being," he said.
Musiala scored the goal that sealed Bayern's 11th consecutive Bundesliga title. Borussia Dortmund entered the final matchday needing only a home win against Mainz to take their first league trophy in 11 years.
But they were held to a draw, while Musiala scored a late winner for Bayern at Cologne.
"I think that was so far the most important moment of my career. But my mindset haven't changed because of that. I always dream big, there are always new goals," he said.
