Senior centres, service centres, and service homes in Helsinki will celebrate the harvest season by offering a delicious harvest vegetable soup on September 6, said the City of Helsinki in a press release.
This year, the celebration revolves around the theme of “nutritious food and joyful dining – shared moments at the dinner table”.
The soup event will remain open for everyone, particularly the Helsinki residents interested in the activities of senior centres, service centres, and service homes.
The servings of harvest soup will be free but the authority urged the attendees to bring their own cutlery.
Beyond the savoury soup, senior centres, service centres, and service homes have curated an array of additional activities for the enjoyment of the participants during the harvest soup event.
