National postal and logistic services operator Posti delivered about 12 million Christmas cards during the Christmas season this year, said Posti in a press release on Friday.
The number, however, was two million lower compared to the Christmas season in last year, when about 14 million cards were delivered.
” Many have again decided to spread joy this Christmas with a traditional Christmas card. It’s great that the tradition is still going strong,” said Sami Määttä, who is responsible for Posti's consumer letter services.
Meanwhile, Posti delivered about 7 million parcels during peak Christmas weeks, starting with Black Week and the number was almost same of the previous year.
”A lot of parcels have once again been delivered to parcel lockers, service points, and homes. We will keep working to make sure parcels always get delivered to their preferred pickup place,” said Kaj Kulp, responsible for Posti’s e-commerce services.
