Lahti mulls country´s first-ever aerial tramway

The City of Lahti is planning to introduce the first-ever aerial tramway in Finland, said the city in a press release on Tuesday.

The City signed a letter of intent with a transit ecosystem company UDT Technologies Oy in this regard with the view to develop transport and logistics in innovative ways of the city.

The City of Lahti is testing the feasibility of the possible aerial tramway to transport people and goods on the Lahti campus of LUT university.

The UDT Technologies is planning to construct an aerial tramway track for the movement of the capsules between two stations in the city.
