The pilot of an aerobatic plane was killed when the aircraft crashed into a forest near Selänpää airport in Kouvola, a municipality in Southeast Finland on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The accident took place at about 2:00 pm when the pilot was participating in the airshow at the airport organised by the Kouvola Flying Association.
Police did not divulge the identity of the victim.
Police, however, said that the spectators of the airshow were not in danger due to the accident and none was injured.
Police are investigating into the accident to find out the reason behind it.
