A total of 239 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in June 2023, which is 17 more than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,085, which is 45 staff-years more than in June 2022.
The 12-month moving annual change in instigated bankruptcy proceedings was 20 per cent in June 2023.
In June 2023, most bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in the industries of construction and other service activities.
In the industry of other service activities, 72 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated, and in construction 61 bankruptcies.
