Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has resumed his rehabilitative training after undergoing a planned surgery, the Bundesliga champions said on Monday, reported dpa.
"On Sunday, Manuel Neuer successfully underwent planned surgery to have metal implants removed from his right fibula," Bayern said in a statement.
Neuer suffered a season-ending leg fracture while skiing during his holidays in December. He's been working on his comeback, but it remains unclear when he will return.
Bayern signed Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach in January as a replacement, but Sommer is set to move to Inter Milan as he doesn't want to remain as the number two goalkeeper in Munich.
